Palo Santo literally means "Holy Wood" in Spanish. It is a mystical tree found throughout Central and South America. Palo Santo is related to Frankincense, Myrrh, and Copal. It is part of the citrus family and has the sweet scent of pine, mint and lemon.

It is used in the same fashion as Sage and Cedar. It energetically cleanses spaces, keeps them grounded, and honors the ancestors. The trees are also used as a punishment; by tying someone to the tree and leaving them for the ants to bite to death.
